Mid-Season Shananigans!

Our team has been working very hard for the first half of the season both on and off the field, so when we had the chance to catch up on some sleep on our way to the Vassar Invitational Tournament, everyone took the opportunity.

The team also used the down time in our quality hotel to get a little work done… to the point where we actually had to tell them to go to bed! Never the less, as you can see it led to a pretty successful weekend on and off the field.

Although the girls work hard, we tend to rock out even harder as you can see in our pre-game dance before playing Babson. It must have worked well to get the team pumped because they went out on the field and played some really great hockey!

Yesterday there was a GORGEOUS triple rainbow over our field (from end line to end line)… Wish we could have gotten pictures to show you!

Happy Hockey,

Lavin :]

Pre-season starts in 8 days. Team returns in 7!  Lindsie Lavin (new GA)  and I are busy getting all the pieces of the puzzle together in the office but we were sure to take a walk out to the field Tuesday and Wednesday ( today) to check in on the field and see if  we could help inspire the fasted installation know to turf kind!  Here are a few videos of the fields recent progress.

As you can see the field is taking shape and in the next few days the color will turn green and the reality of this project will be even clearer.

Unfortunately we will be a bit behind schedule for the start of our first days of  pre-season August 26th. But traveling to local turf for the days until our field is ours will be well worth the commitment!

Come join us in celebrating the fields and 2010 team Home Opener this September 17th at 4 PM!

GO SCFH!! – Jaime and Lindsie

July 13th Up-Date

It has been a while since my last up-date!  The field is starting to look very much like a playing surface now.

Today Lynn Oberbilig, Smith athletic director (in picture to the right), and I went for a walk to see the progress.  It is very exciting to see how much it has taken shape. Today they started to cut down the remainder of the tress in between the Field House and Tennis courts and the stone was all smoothed out and looks ready for the next step.

Mark your Calender for Sunday September 19th at 2PM. Home opener against Mount Holyoke College ! Please join us!
